A passport can be defined as an official document that is usually issued by the local government of a particular country with the personal information of the holder namely date of birth, full names, nationality, finger print and even the passport photo; this is to certify that he ors he is a citizen of that particular country and use this as a ticket to travel to other foreign countries under its protection. When applying for a passport you should be able to know the kind of passport that you are looking for. This is because they have three categories namely a regular passport, child passport and a temporary passport. The person applying must be able to meet all the demands that are required to get either of the three types of passports. The following is the description of the three passports that you can get from your country.

The first type of passport is the regular passport. This is always issued in every country all over the world. Though they might differ in terms of appearance, they should bare the holder’s information. Regular passports are only issued to people above the age of fifteen. They can get to have the passport just in case they are travelling even if it is not immediately. Passports do have serial and passport numbers that are very unique to them. It os always valid for just a few years depending on the country. You will have to renew it once it expires.

The second one is the child passport. The holders of this type of passport are only kids. Once you are under the age of fifteen then you cannot be given a regular passport. Child passport children passports do not have a lot of details but they have the basic information that is needed. The child passport has got the full name of the child, the nationality and the passport photo of the kid. It takes some time for a child to be given a passport and there must be a valid reason why they need to have one.

The last one is the temporary passport. Just like the name would suggest it is only issued for a short period of time. This is always issued to a person who do not have a regular passport yet they need to travel to another country urgently. You can also use this passport in to visit any country that demand a regular passport from all its visitors. In such a case the government issues you with a temporary passport that will be valid till when you will be returning back to your country but it mist mot be for a very long period of time.
